Lego Simple and Powered Machines Camp * Entering Grades 3-5 * July 24-28 * 9AM-NOON OR 1-4PM * $145 * NEW!! * Students will get an in-depth understanding of mechanical and structural principles built into everyday machines. By building, designing, and testing solutions, students work as young scientists and engineers, all while honing design technology, science, and math skills. The class is set up in blocks, with a "creativity & activity break" in the middle, when students will get outside or do other hands-on activities.  No experience necessary! Elementary Video Game Design Camp * Entering Grades 4-6 * July 24-28 * 1-4PM * $145 * NEW!! * Do you like playing video games? How would you like to learn to create your own games? Using AgentSheets™/AgentCubes™, you can design your own interactive games and challenge your friends to play them. Create arcade games like 3D Frogger, Journey, and Contagion. Your imagination is the limit! Explore computational science through the lens of designing and building your own games. This class will give you a good introduction to the world of game programming. No programming skills needed.  Please note that the camp content has some similarities to the Elementary Video Game Design Camps offered in previous years, but will be building all 3D (instead of 2D) games, and two of the games will be brand new!

WeDo 1.0 Lego Robotics Camp * Entering Grades 3-5 * July 31-August 4 * 9AM-NOON OR 1-4PM * $145 * Learn to use laptops, Legos, and the WeDo 1.0 Robotics software to create your own Lego robots! This class will teach students to use a combination of engineering and creativity to build working, moving machines. The class is set up in blocks, with a "creativity & activity break" in the middle, when students will get outside or do other hands-on activities. No robotics experience necessary! Note: This camp is the same as the Introduction to Lego Robotics Level 1 that has been offered in previous years. SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR THIS CAMP!

Minecraft: Beaverville Creative Free Build * Entering Grades 4-6 * July 31-August 4 * 9AM-NOON * $145 * Perhaps you are a beginner or perhaps you are a Minecraft block-building artist. Maybe you have built cool Minecraft houses, forts and roller coasters. But have you ever been in a room full of fellow Minecrafters and built something huge together? You have the ideas. We have the place. We need you to join our build team and help create something together in our Beaverville Minecraft world. We have been building it for a couple of years. Now it is going to be even bigger and better with your ideas and help. If you are a complete beginner or an experienced castle maker, red stone engineer, city planner, undersea architect, pixel artist, dungeon designer, or just a landscape shaping/road building/bridge building maniac, this is the one for you. We supply the computers, tips, and guidance…just come and enjoy! No personal computers, please.

Elementary School Lego EV3 Camp * Entering Grades 4-6 * July 31-August 4 * 1-4PM* $145 * NEW!! * Develop the skills to program a Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot in an environment of cooperation! In small teams, enjoy building together and helping each other become better designers and programmers. Build your skills to a level that will continue to challenge you throughout the week!
